この「番外編」の項目では，当サイトでメインで取り上げているカニエ・ウェストやジェイＺ以外にも，現代のヒップホップに強い影響を与えている人物を取り上げています。前回はケンドリック・ラマー（Kendrick Lamar）を取り上げました。
さて，今回取り上げるのは，ドレイク（Drake）です。ケンドリック・ラマーとドレイクは，ラップスタイルもリリックも似ても似つかぬアーティスト同士ですが，２人とも，現代のヒップホップにとって，どれだけ影響力のある人物か，紹介できれば幸いと考えて，この「番外編」を作りました。
前回はケンドリック・ラマーの「Fuck Your Ethnicity」という，人種に関する力強いメッセージ性を含んだ楽曲を紹介しました。今回はそのイメージからも，ラップスタイルからも，リリックからも全く真逆，対極にあるドレイクの「Marvin’s Room」という曲を紹介します。現代のヒップホップ界に現在最も影響を与えている２人ですが，何から何まで，曲の雰囲気も含めて，全く違います。聴き比べてみてください。
