（以下歌詞でヨセフとマリアの話が出てきますが，マリアを孕ませたのはヨセフで，お腹の中にはイエス・キリストが宿ります（新約聖書マタイによる福音書1章18~25節より）。つまり，カニエが言うとおり，「もしもマリアがあの夜，ヒップホップクラブなんかに行ったりしていて，イケメンの男に囲まれて，ナンパなんかされていれば，どうなっていたことだろう」と。その後に，カニエは歌詞中で，自身の子ども＝ノースとセイントの言及をしますが，これは，マリアがヒップホップクラブで出会ったのはカニエだったと仮定してのことだとも解釈できます。マリアとカニエが出会って，ノースとセイントが産まれたのだと。
